The August 2026 Mechanical Engineers Licensure Examination has brought encouraging news for graduates of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM).
According to the latest PLM update dated August 14, 2026, newly licensed Mechanical Engineers from the university were congratulated following the results of the August 2026 licensure examination.
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) scheduled the August 2026 Mechanical Engineers Licensure Examination on August 7, 8 and 9, 2026. The official PRC schedule listed August 12, 2026 as the target release date for the examination results.
1,362 out of 3,686 passed the Mechanical Engineers Licensure Examination and 109 out of 142 passed the Certified Plant Mechanics Computer-Based Licensure Examination.
Registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) & Certificate of Registration will be done on-line From 15th October 2026.
For students and graduates of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM), the official PRC school-performance document provides the relevant institutional results. The PRC has also published the complete list of successful examinees, the top 10 passers, and the performance of schools.
The PRC has released a separate Performance of Schools document for the August 2026 Mechanical Engineers Licensure Examination. This document contains the official school-by-school statistics and should be used when checking PLM’s exact passing performance.
PLM Mechanical Engineering Passing Rate’s
Mechanical Engineering Paaers. PLM reported a 38.89% passing rate, with 7 out of 18 examinees from the university successfully passing the examination.The performance of PLM’s first-time takers was even higher.
The university reported a 57.14% passing rate, representing 4 out of 7 first-time examinees.These figures show that PLM had a group of successful candidates in the August 2026 Mechanical Engineers Licensure Examination.
National Passing Rate
The same PLM announcement reported a 36.95% national passing rate, with 1,362 successful examinees out of 3,686 candidates.
Compared with the national figure shown in the PLM announcement, the university’s overall passing rate of 38.89% was slightly higher.
PLM also highlighted its newly licensed Mechanical Engineers and congratulated them for reaching this professional milestone.

Examination was conducted in several testing locations, including NCR, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.Candidates who passed the examination can proceed with the applicable registration and licensing requirements under PRC rules.
